Malta has a typical Mediterranean climate, with hot, dry summers and mild winters. The average summer temperatures are around 31C to 17C in winter. The average hours of sunshine are 12 hrs in the summer to 6 hrs in the winter. Rainfall is low and falls mainly between October and February.
