Comino Comino is the smallest inhabited island in the archipelago. The Island is a quiet escape - there are no cars on Comino, nor any other noise to disturb the peace. The Islands’ numerous bays and its crystal clear waters make it the perfect choice for most kinds of water sports, especially snorkelling and diving. Here are the most interesting dive sites around the tiny island of Comino: Comino - St. Marija Caves (Maximum depth - 20 m)
The caves are very pretty lots of very colourful coral and the underwater photography possibilities are endless. Octopus, moray eels, tuna, groupers and countless small fish make this an enjoyable dive. Cominotto - Underwater reef (Maximum depth - 36m)
During the dive one comes across massive boulders with interesting holes and caverns, where creatures such as burrowing anemones and peacock worms hide. There is also an abundance of tubeworms, soft corals and red sponge, which add colour to these shaded areas. Comino - Alex's Cave (Maximum depth - 18m)
Moray Eels, Conger Eel and flounders can be found under the boulders at the entrance to the cave. |
